I was born in Närpes, Finland, as part of
the Swedish speaking minority that live along the western and
southern coast of Finland. When I was ten years old my family
emigrated to the USA and settled in New York City.
While attending the High School of Music and Art, I received several awards for painting and was honored
with a scholarship to the Brooklyn Museum Art School.
After studying Architecture at The Cooper Union and a long career in
Architecture, I began concentrating on Mobiles and Watercolors.
I have shown my paintings in numerous
solo and group exhibitions and received numerous awards. I exhibited
a group of thirty watercolors at the Salmagundi Club in NYC., sponsored by the Finland Center Foundation, and my
Mobiles have been exhibited in the Montclair Art Museum and in a Solo
Show at the Monmouth Museum.
My art business has been designated as a "Trusted Art Seller" with The Art Storefronts Organization, which means you can shop with confidence, and know that I stand behind the quality and value of my products.
The painting in the image above received the Best In Show Award and was later purchased by Hackensack University Hospital along with three other similar pieces.
The presence of this badge signifies that this business has officially registered with the Art Storefronts Organization and has an established track record of selling art.
